About Claire
Claire is a filmmaker whose work continues to be shaped by a background in social impact. She’s drawn to character-driven stories that explore identity, connection, and quiet moments of change.
That path started with co-founding The Pad Project, a nonprofit that works to increase access to period products and fight menstrual stigma by expanding education, resources, and economic opportunity.
With The Pad Project, she produced the OSCAR-winning documentary short, Period. End of Sentence. dedicated to following the plight of women in Kathikhera, India, working to transform periods into a source of personal empowerment and economic advancement.
Claire was also awarded the Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship and spent a year in Paris, France. Sponsored by the Fulbright Association and the National Geographic Society, the fellowship supports storytellers working to share the experiences and voices of people and communities around the world. During this time, Claire directed & produced documentary short illustrating the struggles of a mother and son who fled Ukraine when the war began and are grappling with building a new life.
Her most recent narrative short, Mr. Floof, premiered at film festivals like AFI Fest, SCAD, and Santa Barbara, along with several others. She has also directed several other narrative and documentary shorts that center nuanced, character-driven storytelling.
Claire holds a BA in Philosophy Politics & Economics and Gender Sexuality & Women’s Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her MFA from USC at the Peter Stark Producing Program.
